Light Meter Exercise

***What you set your middle ground to alters the exposure of your photo. If you set it on something light or white your picture will likely be very dark because you are telling your camera that the light color you chose, is your middle ground. On the contrary, if you set your middle ground as a dark or black object, your photo will turn out very bright. And of course everything in between will have more of a medium exposure.

 
In this photo I focused the middle ground on the brick wall.



 










The door frame was used as the middle ground in this photo.


Here, I set the middle ground to the brightest light and as a result the picture came out dark.














The middle ground in this picture was set on a dimmer light.



This photograph has a very high exposure because I set the middle ground to the blackest black that was in my scene, which was the night sky.
